What is a Twilio Chrome Extension?
A Twilio Chrome Extension is browser software that talks to Twilio’s APIs using credentials you supply. You keep the Twilio account. The extension is a client in Chrome.
The relationship in one line
MyBroadcast → Chrome extension → your Twilio account → calling and SMS. Twilio remains the telephony provider. The extension is the desktop workspace.
What it is not
It is not a new phone carrier, and it is not Twilio’s official Chrome app unless Twilio publishes it. MyBroadcast’s extension is independent and third-party. See the product page.
Typical capabilities
A Twilio Softphone in the toolbar, Twilio Click-to-Call on web pages, Twilio SMS threads, and sometimes a Twilio Auto Dialer for outbound lists. Exact features depend on the vendor — ours are listed on the product page, not invented here.
What you configure
Account SID, Auth Token, and a Twilio number with Voice and/or SMS enabled. After that, usage appears on your Twilio invoice.
