The line is a Twilio number in your account. The handset is the browser. You dial, answer, send SMS, and read call history in the extension. There is no desk handset to ship or provision.
People use “Twilio phone” for that everyday handset. The screen with hold and transfer is the Twilio softphone. Outbound lists and click-to-call are the Twilio dialer. All three are this Chrome extension.
Use the Twilio phone on a computer
1. Add to Chrome
Install on a Mac or a Windows PC from the Chrome Web Store.
2. Connect
Paste Account SID and Auth Token from Twilio Console.
3. Number
Choose the Twilio number you want as the phone line.
4. Call
Allow the microphone and talk through a headset.

On a phone, install Twilio Auto Dialer from Google Play. That is the Android app. A laptop or desktop still uses Add to Chrome.
